Bubebbere is a poor and isolated community without electricity or running water. Our friends and colleagues have founded the Little Angels Primary school there to try to ensure that the village children benefit from at least primary school education.
Friends of Uganda has supported them for eight years and is helping to make a difference; but there is still so much more to do.
The current challenge is to have enough desks to enable the children to work properly. Often there are 5 to a desk intended for 3. Other children have to kneel on the floor as they have no tables to write on. It is not surprising when they under-achieve.
We should like to provide 20 3-seater desks for the school. Each one costs £15.
