What does gift2help.com do? 

gift2help.com supports charities with their fundraising efforts in a very simple and easy way. Our partner charities tell us what products they need for their charity and we help them by displaying these products as ‘gifts’ on gift2help.com.

Please read the two examples below to see how straightforward and easy it is to team up with gift2help.com: 

Example A:

A charity in Africa needs a new blackboard to teach children in an orphanage. The blackboard costs £30 in Africa. 

Visitors on gift2help.com can donate the full or any amount towards the costs of the blackboard (called a ‘gift’) on our website. gift2help.com then transfers the money to the charity in Africa which in return buys the blackboard they need. 

Example B:

A charity in the UK is struggling to fund its running costs (e.g. electricity, rent, stationary etc.). The monthly costs to keep the charity up and running are £450.

gift2help.com gives visitors the opportunity to donate the full or any amount towards the running costs (called a ‘gift’) of the charity. All donations will then be transferred to the charity in the UK who uses the money to cover their monthly running costs.

How It Works

Are you interested and would like to become a partner charity of gift2help.com? 

All applications are reviewed individually and any information (e.g. data, contact details) is treated confidential. 

Here is our simple and straight forward Charity Application Process:

1. Fill out our charity application form. Find it HERE.

2. We will review your application within 7 working days and on acceptance email you login details for the partner area.

What is a gift?

A gift is defined as a product that is needed by our partner charities. Visitors of gift2help.com can donate towards a specific gift which the charity then buys in reality with the money raised. 

How gift2help.com will work with your charity:

Our partner area will be used as a communication and information platform between your charity and gift2help.com.

Any information about your charity (e.g. list of gifts or your charity objectives) will be displayed in the partner area. We will always seek your approval before making it accessible to visitors and donors of gift2help.com. 

We will inform you of changes, questions, timelines etc. via a simple overview list in the partner area and by sending you email updates.

How to get your charity and gifts listed on gift2help.com:

Once you’ve become a member charity of gift2help.com you can simply enter the gifts you require in our partner area. Should we make any changes we will let you know and get your approval before showing this information on gift2help.com.

Our partner area is used as a communication and information platform between our partner charities and gift2help.com.

If your charity becomes a partner of gift2help.com you will be able to see the following information in your partner area:

• All information of your charity that is shown on gift2help.com
  • List of all current gifts of your charity
  • Description of your charity and objectives
  • Uploaded photos, logos etc.
• Overview of online donations:
  • Number of people that have donated to your charity
  • Total amount of donations
• Special news area for partner charities
• Download area for Marketing Packs, Logo, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)  

Do charities pay a commission or any fee to gift2help.com?

No, there are no costs for a charity to use our service. We ask all donors for a small contribution to cover our running costs that’s all. 

How is gift2help funded?

At the moment gift2help is fully funded by its founders Markus and Guenther. By charging a small handling fee from donors per transaction we hope that gift2help.com will be self-sustainable in the near future. gift2help.com does not charge its partner charities and 100% of the online donation will go directly to the chosen charity. 

Why are you charging donors credit card and debit card transaction costs?

Gift2Help Limited is a Social Enterprise. This means that any profits will be reinvested into social objectives. At the moment running costs are fully funded by Markus and Guenther. We hope that with your help gift2help.com will be self sustainable in the near future. Banks and credit card companies make a charge for each transaction, and in order to keep our running costs low and be able to offer this service to donors and charities we are charging these costs. The money is going straight to our payment facility provider. We fully rely on our donors handling fee to run gift2help.com.

Could my charity claim Gift Aid?

Yes, Gift Aid can be claimed for eligible charities. Please read here for further information.

Could my charity use the online donations for whatever we want?

No. Charities need to use the donation for the purpose stated on gift2help.com. If you would like to use the donation for a different purpose you need to inform gift2help.com BEFORE using the donation for something else.

What happens if my charity no longer needs a gift that is listed on gift2help.com?

You must inform gift2help.com immediately and remove the gift from gift2help.com via the partner area. If donations have already been made towards this gift gift2Help Limited has discretion to either permit the purchase of another gift (product) or refund the donor. The refunded donation will be deducted from funds held for that charity.

When does my charity get the donations from gift2help.com?

All Donations received via the Website for a charity will be paid on the following

basis:

For International BACS transactions or money transfer:

- on a quarterly basis regardless of the total amount of Donations;

- on a monthly basis if the total amount of Donations exceeds £500 each

month;

- at the end of a month when the total amount of donations exceeds £500.

For BACS transactions or money transfer in England, Wales and Scotland:

- on a monthly basis if the total amount of Donations exceeds £30;

- at the end of a month when the total amount of donations exceeds £30.

Gift2Help Limited may forward online donations on a more frequent basis at its discretion but no later than as stated above.
