How do I know that the charity really exists?
All charities are vetted before they are shown on gift2help.com. We follow a strict application process and our partner charities have a legally binding contract with us. If you are in doubt of a cause or charity, please contact us via info@gift2help.com.
What happens to my donation?
Your full online donation will be transferred to the charity of your choice. The charity then uses your donation to buy the gift you have donated towards. For example: You donate towards a new blackboard for a school. We transfer the money to the charity and they buy the blackboard.
What happens if the charity buys something other than what I donated towards?
Our partner charities will always aim to use the money for the specific cause you’ve donated to. However, it may happen that in emergency situations or other circumstances the donation will be used for a different purpose. We will do our best to inform you of such changes.
Will I get an update from the charity on what happened to my donation?
All our partner charities aim to keep you and gift2help.com updated on how the donation is used. As some of our partner charities are very small and resources are limited it may take a while until the gift is actually purchased and feedback given. It is our goal however, to send out a newsletter twice a year, detailing how donations have been used by the charities and the difference that they have made.
Do charities pay a commission or any fee to gift2help.com?
No, there are no costs to a charity for the use of our service. We ask all donors for a small contribution to cover our running costs, that’s all.

Simply recommend gift2help.com to the charity of your choice by clicking the ‘Recommend to a friend’ button at the bottom of the page. Or click here and ask them to fill out an application form in our partner area.

Why are you charging donors credit card and debit card transaction costs?
gift2Help Limited is a Social Enterprise. This means that any profits will be reinvested into social objectives or reinvested in gift2help.com. At the moment running costs are personally funded by the gift2help.com founders. We hope that with your help gift2help.com will be self sustainable in the near future. Banks and credit card companies make a charge for each transaction, and in order to keep our running costs low and be able to offer this service to donors and charities we have to charge debit and credit card fees. The money is going straight to our payment facility provider. We fully rely on your handling fee to run gift2help.com.
How is gift2help funded?
At the moment gift2help is fully funded by its founders Markus and Guenther. By charging a small handling fee from donors per transaction we hope that gift2help.com will be self-sustainable in the near future. gift2help.com does not charge its partner charities and 100% of the donation will go directly to the chosen charity.
Can I buy a gift and then send it to the charity of my choice?
Unfortunately, this is not possible due to logistical and administrative reasons. Also, it would sometimes be uneconomical for example to buy a product in the UK and then ship to Africa is extremely expensive.
